I know not how to make you know…………

I know no Sanskrit. I know no Hindi. I know no language to express what I know. In brief, I know that I know not how to make you know what I know.

I know that I know not, yet, I know what I know. My Gurus know that I know, but I know not how to make you know what my Gurus know. Knowledge is unknowable, yet the unknowable becomes known, when a Knower explain it to be the knower’s own Self, which illumines for him the very urge to know.

Beneath the waves is the eternal still silence of majesty and fullness. Light rays are blasted into a million fragments only when they strike the agitating bosom of the restless waves. The dim green light that filters through, the depths seems to be coiled up there upon itself…. for in the womb of the ocean, the reflections cast at the precious gems of the deep, dance no more, but merge to be one with the mellow blaze of light.

The Light of Knowledge is split into shreds only when it strikes the surface of life; plurality begins in and ends with the phenomenon. Serene in the recesses of the bosom, when knowledge comes to know itself, the Wisdom Lights is known without the distorting intervention of a knower knowing the knowledge. In short, unless you are ready to take a plunge into your own within and move up beyond the mind and the intellect to the very source of all light, power and wisdom, I know not how to make you know what I know.

Ishwara Darshanam

Meditate and live in the inner silence, which is the true ashram built on the banks of Ganga of thought currents. Around your ashram then the twittering birds shall start their orchestra, the Veda Vakyas. But let them. You stay as the mere hearer of the mental debate, the seer of the Advaitic ideals rising in your mind. Bask in the rising golden orb of the Sun above the hills on the opposite side of the river of thought. Watch on, watch on and watch on. Remain in kritakrityata (fulfillment), in santosha (happiness), with samadhana (peace). This is the sacred sadhana. This quiet silent Divine Life is Ishwara-darshanam.

Training the Tongue

The ugliness or beauty of the tongue is ordered by the personality behind. A shattered entity will seek self-gratification in malicious and harsh words and the soft tongue can often become more devastating than the most destructive missile. A seeker trying to reach a fuller and more exhaustive self-expression should develop such inward harmony that his speech echoes the fragrance of his soul. A speech with softness of tone, clarity of expression, honesty of conviction, power of bringing a clear picture in the listener’s mind, over flowing with sincerity, devotion and love, becomes the very quality of the speaker’s personality. To develop a habit of such speech would be to unconsciously train and discipline one’s inner equipment.

Success

Let not fear of failures or fear of obstacles that might come slow us down even a bit. Once we undertake a great and noble work, we are already set on the ground road leading to its total realization soon, in complete success. All spectacular success were achieved in little courageous steps taken with self-confidence and faith in the nobility of the final goal chosen. Small efforts that were continuously and cheerfully put forth pyramid up to become the edifice that stands out as great work and noble achievements. Courage of conviction and tireless enthusiasm to continue, we must have in plenty. Success is sure for the sincere seeker.

Prayer

Through prayer is devotion discovered. Through prayer alone is devotion deepened. Through prayer again is devotion fulfilled. To turn ardently our hearts unto Him, the Lord, to offer our all at His Altar in our infinite love, to bow down in total surrender at His feet, to cry in the joyous ecstasy of the flooding love, in our hearts, this is prayer at its fullest. Where individuality is thus merged in His sacred temple of Love, universality starts, the experience of the Infinite in us unfolds.

Harnessing the mind-power

When we are told that we must control our minds, we feel that religious masters over-do things and they unnecessarily create tensions for us. What is wrong if I live and act as my mind demands, as I feel like at any moment?

No harm. The Lord has given you a splendid mind and this beautiful world. But always remember that the entire Niagara Falls cannot light up even a single bulb until it is tunneled on to the dynamo.

Steam cannot make the steam engine work unless it is contained. The mind cannot bring out its full force and strength to achieve for you your success, unless it is disciplined, tunneled and contained.

Dedicated service

Serving the country or the community in the cultural field is a subtle art. Not everyone is fit for it. You can be a religious person, but to impart religion and spirituality to others and watch their progress in cultural edification is vastly subtle.

You must be capable of surviving neglect and appreciation. That in itself is a great penance, and this capacity you can discover only when you fall in love with the work and not with the persons in the institutions.

As a true worker, you work with fervour, because you are convinced that it is the thing to be done. You do it not for your sake, nor for your country, nor for your community, but you do it out of a strong conviction that it must be done. You will be in agony if you do not do it.
